VOTING IS OPEN

2024-2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals

The 2024-2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals reputation voting is now taking place.  These rankings are important as many patients and their families consider them when deciding where to receive care for their complex orthopaedic issues.

At the WVU Department of Orthopaedics, our faculty and staff provide extraordinary care for our patients, tackling the most challenging conditions and never shying away from the particularly difficult procedures.  Often, we are our patient's last resort.  We know that we would trust our orthopaedic care to anyone in the department, from the routine carpal tunnel release to the complex hip replacement or the challenging revision spine surgery.  (In your voting, do not consider location or cost)

By sharing your expert opinion through the online vote on Doximity, you will influence our hospital’s overall orthopaedic ranking on the Best Hospitals List. The reputation score is based on this Doximity survey of board-certified physicians and surgeons in each of the adult and pediatric specialities.

"You have worked with us, trained with us and know what WVU Orthopaedics represents.

Now it is time to share that pride, knowledge, and your expert opinion with the world."

Respectfully,

Matthew J. Dietz, MD

Chair, WVU Orthopaedics

Voting period ends on March 27, 2024.

WHO CAN VOTE?

Board-certified physicians in one of the 15 adult specialties ranked by U.S. News & World Report and who are registered as Doximity users are eligible to vote.

If you are not currently a Doximity user, you can register at any time to vote during the voting period.

Board-certified providers are only required to vote for one hospital to have their ballot count but can vote for multiple.

HOW TO VOTE

Ensure you are ready to vote by following these steps:

  • Confirm that your license and board certifications are up-to-date.

  • If you have not yet claimed your Doximity profile, go to Doximity.com, and click "Find My Profile."

  • If you have already claimed your account, log in to your Doximity profile.

  • Your Doximity profile must have up-to-date licenses, certifications, and board documents. Once you are logged in, your profile will automatically be in "Edit Mode" and you will be able to add new items or edit existing information.

  • Update your profile and confirm that your information is current.

  1. Go to Doximity.com and log in.

  2. Search for "U.S. News Best Hospitals".

  3. The survey asks users to name the hospitals that provide the best care in your respective specialty, without consideration to location or cost. For adult specialists, the survey will allow you to list up to five hospitals in your field. However, you only need to vote for one hospital to have your ballot count. If you decide to rank more than one hospital, you may list the hospitals in any order. It does not affect the ranking.
